Quanterion Solutions is a major part of a Wyle Laboratories led team awarded a five year $28 million dollar contract by DISA to operate the DoD Reliability Information Analysis Center (RIAC). The 37- year old operation, previously called the Reliability Analysis Center (RAC), is the DoD’s center of excellence in data, information, and expertise related to product/system reliability, maintainability, quality, supportability, and interoperability. While the Center is chartered by DoD, its products and services are also available to commercial industry. (more)
The RIAC is one of a family of DoD Information Analysis Centers (IACs) in a variety of subject areas administered by the Defense Technical Information Center(DTIC) and sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). The contract is technically managed by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Rome, NY. Under the plan, Quanterion will perform the bulk of the Center’s everyday basic operations as a subcontractor to Wyle, and the State University of New York Institute of Technology (SUNYIT) will be the new home of RIAC in Utica, NY. Rounding out the Wyle team are the University of Maryland Center of Reliability Engineering and the Penn State University Applied Research Laboratory. Transition from the past RAC contractor will take place in mid July.
