Recent contract awards approaching $7M means new hires for Quanterion Solutions, a Utica-based small business performing R&D and consulting services for the Government and industry. Key hires include cybersecurity experts Roderick Nettles and Cully Patch, retired Air Force officers returning to the area where they had previous assignments at the Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS) and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). Moving on to other AF organizations, as Cyberspace Operations Officers, they’ve been deeply involved in addressing DoD cybersecurity challenges. Upon retirement, they chose to continue this important work for the Government, as well as commercially, at Quanterion. The company’s local cyber business includes the operation of the DoD Cybersecurity and Information Systems Information Analysis Center (CSIAC), research for AFRL and other consulting services. With a staff of 80, Quanterion currently has eight open positions in several fields including administration, reliability engineering and cybersecurity.
