RIAC‘s 217Plus reliability assessment methodology addresses system reliability from both the component and the system perspectives. The methodology includes new RIAC component reliability prediction models and a means for assessing the reliability effects of non-component variables.
The methodology introduced in 1999 has gained wide acceptance in the RMQSI user community as a means of overcoming the many inherent limitations of MIL-HDBK-217, “Reliability Prediction of Electronic Equipment,” and 217-type modeling methodologies. It was also intended as a necessary replacement for MIL-HDBK-217 which was abandoned by the Government in 1995.
As the developers of 217Plus, RIAC engineers have a great deal of experience performing reliability predictions using the methodology and software. In addition, the RIAC engineers are available to provide detailed interpretations of the analysis results. This approach provides a cost effective alternative to performing the 217Plus analysis in-house.
Contact the RIAC using our on-line contact form or send us an e-mail to discuss having the RIAC assist you with performing a 217Plus analysis.
