Summary of Position

The IT Specialist offers support and technical assistance to customers and employees who are using software, hardware, or other computer systems and need help completing tasks or troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests and remote access to their computers.

This position is in-person.

We Are Looking for These Skills

• Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
• Diagnosing system errors and other issues.
• Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
• Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
• Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software both internally and externally.
• Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
• Remotely accessing hardware or software for clients to make changes and fix problems.
• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
• Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
• Prepare evaluations of software or hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades.
• Maintain customer compliance within their specified industry.
• Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
• Develop and maintain knowledge management system for internal and external tracking.
• In coordination with the IT & Systems Lead, develop Service/Project proposals including materials, labor and pricing and submit in a timely manner to Senior Management.
• Partner with marketing to make services known to the community and look for opportunities to push out services QSI offers.
• Monitor breeches of internal compliance and recommend mitigation to resolve/address the issue(s).
• Must be able to work independently, complete tasks, and manage time autonomously.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Science or related field required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Fluent in computer systems, PC repair, and network management.
• CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ Certification
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
• Security Requirement: This position requires the ability to gain and maintain security clearance thus meeting eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required.

Summary of Position:

QSI’s Web Developer will perform all phases of the web software development lifecycle, including design, programming, testing (unit and system level), debugging, and internal documentation. This position will work closely with employees and customers to ensure front-end usability, design and accessibility requirements are met, and help manage and maintain the Company website(s), and ecommerce platforms.

This position is in-person.

We Are Looking For These Skills:

• Write maintainable and efficient back-end code using languages including PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.
• Utilize front-end frameworks such as React, jQuery, etc. for centrally supported themes, templates, and applications and ensure code meets web accessibility standards.
• Design, build, implement, and modify high-performance APIs and third-party integrations to enhance web functionality.
• Develop and implement a mobile layout.
• Maintain a responsive website design that is compatible across various devices and screen sizes.
• Build, test, and maintain the backend functionality of WooCommerce store pages.
• Conduct code and web system reviews to identify and correct gaps in performance and/or functionality while optimizing websites’ speed, and scalability.
• Continuously monitor and optimize the website’s search performance using Google Search Console tools such as the Index Coverage report and Google Analytics.
• Coordinate with the Chief Technical Officer (CTO), IT Department, and others as needed to ensure proper security measures, network communications and server operations are in place.
• Conduct regular security audits, testing and debugging to safeguard web applications and ensure code accuracy and functionality.
• Develop and implement application policies, procedures, and standards and ensure their conformance with applicable laws and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• At least three (3) years’ experience related to web design, development, and maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience developing open-source CMS, such as WordPress.
• At least 2-years’ experience using Azure to create, host and manage web and mobile applications.
• Experience using app containers across diverse environments on-premises and in the cloud.
• Proven ability with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Proven ability to design and develop in a manner that pays close attention to responsiveness and accessibility.
• Proficiency in using semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) to develop clean, maintainable code.
• Demonstrated experience in back-end technologies such as Node.js, PHP, Go, Ruby on Rails, or Python.
• Understanding of version control systems such as Git to manage changes to source code, collaborate, and experiment without damaging the codebase.
• Demonstrated experience with WordPress and/or other web frameworks and CMSs.
• Experience in creating and managing open-source ecommerce platforms, such as WooCommerce, preferred.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting online payment platforms, such as Stripe, preferred.
