Under its day-to-day operation of the DoD Reliability Information Analysis Center (RIAC),
Quanterion has released the Mechanical Analysis and other Specialized Techniques for
Enhancing Reliability (MASTER) guidebook. This 600-page document is intended to help
designers consider the long term operation of products and systems by minimizing potential
failure modes and mechanisms. The effort, funded by the Defense Technical Information Center,
was carried out by a Quanterion team of David Rose, Alex MacDiarmid and Paul Lein
supported by the University of Maryland Center for Risk and Reliability.
