Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
The TRADES
®
FMECA module provides users with powerful Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) tools to analyze their designs from a full functionality perspective. Just some of the features in the module include:
Access a built-in failure mode library for common electronic components
Assign block shapes to easily identify system elements
Assign "Good" modes as well as failure modes to components
Assign multiple causes and/or effects for any failure modes
Assign effects on parent level or even sibling level parts
Create a project library of failure modes, detection methods and countermeasures
Assign colors to automatically flag highly critical components or modules
Access to MIL-STD-1629A or SAE based severity and criticality definitions or define analyst's own
Output results in platform independent HTML or XML format
Export FMEA/FMECA data to the TRADES Fault Tree module
Build product tree by importing your TRADES project file from the Reliability Prediction module
Access failure rates and block information from the TRADES Reliability Prediction and Reliability Modeling modules
