The developed procedure is limited by itsunderlying assumptions that there are three independent modes of failure, andthe number of rounds between each type of failure has an underlying exponentialdistribution. Areas of future research and development are suggested, andrecommended changes in present Army prototype small caliber arms testingtechniques are made.
